I would like to share a poem written by my mother, Danny's grandmother, Loretta Lunsford, about a month before she passed away.

Please Don't Shed a Tear for Me
by Loretta Lunsford (Danny's Grandmother)
Please don't shed a tear for me
Just smile your life away;
Remembering all the happy times
We shared along the way.
Please don't shed a tear for me
Or mourn my passing on;
Accept my legacy of love
As life's paths you trod along.
Please don't shed a tear for me
My skies are no more gray;
There's only happiness for me
Today and every day.
Please don't shed a tear for me
You'll see me all too soon;
When we can shed a tear of joy
As you enter the golden room. |
